There has been a spike in coronavirus cases in Karnataka. On Tuesday, the state reported 100 fresh cases of coronavirus, taking the tally to 2,258. So far, 722 people have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 44 have succumbed to the virus, informed the state health department. Out of the 100 cases, 46 people who had returned from Maharashtra have tested positive for the COVID-19 infection. Also, 21 people are returnees from Tamil Nadu and 13 have returned from Jharkhand. Karnataka recorded no COVID-19 death today.
